Hardie® Panel cladding specified for £6m development Orchard House

The transformation of the original four-storey Orchard House will see two additional floor levels, creating new homes and business opportunities from one of Swansea city centre's most prominent buildings.

It will get new commercial premises on the ground floor, modern offices on the first floor and 52 apartments on the upper levels. The new £6m development reflects Swansea Council's regeneration strategy which will see more people living and working in the city centre.

Externally the building has been completely redesigned to improve its' identity and revitalise the area with a fresh, modern look with the help of A2 non-combustible HardiePanel^® rainscreen cladding. South Wales based Jehu Group was responsible for the overall project work and HardiePanel cladding was specified in three colours - Iron Grey, Cobble Stone and Traditional Red taken from our ColourPlus™ Technology finishes. Our unique ColourPlus^® Technology is specifically engineered to help resist damaging UV rays and is baked-on to ensure a consistent coverage and long-lasting protection for years to come.

Hardie^® Panel  fibre cement is a large element cladding sheet and achieves the highest rating possible (A2, s1-d0) for a coloured facade product.
